To all cycling lovers Krk area offers many possibilities of connecting with nature and its exploration. Discover rich heritage of the island of Krk, find your own peace and recharge your batteries. We can advise you where to go and what to see. Visitors can choose between cycling around whole Island on the asphalt roads, adventurous roads through woods or by the bay – “lungo mare” routs. With bicycle you can go across world known Krk bridge, the connection between the land and the island, and experience a magnificent views. Best ways of getting to know the Island, its people and their customs is: by cycling from town to town, searching for asparagus in the woods, visiting the home of traditional wines in Vrbnik or house of Krk prosciutto, tasting famous lamb from Krk in our restaurant Dundo Njivice, discovering the antique town of Omišalj and so much more. Ideal season for cycling is from April to June and from September to November.

DIVING

For all of you who are more interested in the sea world than anything else, the island of Krk is really ideal place thanks to its untouched sea underworld. Reach underwater hidden treasures – from ship wrecks from the past, impressive caves and grotto’s, steep cliffs which are disappearing in the deepness of the blue and are incredibly overgrown with red Gorgonia that serves as a home for many lobsters, red fishes, rays, frog-fishes and catfishes, to all kinds of vegetable’s.

Legends are saying that lamb from Island Krk was being served on Nero’s famous banquets in Rome. The Romans called the city of Krk “Shiny town of Krk people” and Venetians predictors named the island of Krk “Happy and Golden” – so those names represents the origins of the most famous name for Krk – “The Golden Island”.
